What is Buds?

The Box Tree Buds is the

2nd group in the Box Tree

family.

This group is aimed at children in the 4-7 year age group. (Infant School age.)

As it's younger sibling "Pippens;" It, is a Children's Drama, Dance, and Performance Club, but

offering a significantly varied programme, and higher level of ability and challenge.

So what will my child do in Buds?

They will Have the

opportunity to play a variety of Fun and exciting games, that will include:

Team games

Co-operative games

Skill Games

Drama based games

Memory re-call

Physical games

Party type Games

Listening games

circle games

and more!

They will be given the

chance to join in with a

variety of dance techniques,

which will include basic dance classes in :

Mime and Movement

Mime Interpretation

Ballet

Tap

Modern

Disco

Party dance

Rock N Roll

and more!

They will Have the

opportunity to Participate

in a selection of age appropriate

Drama activities which will include :

Role play

Dressing up

Acting out popular Children's stories.

Learning how to throw their voice across a room without shouting.

Expressing emotion.

And more!

Other activities

available to the Buds

include:

The chance to be in a live stage

performance 2-4 times a year.

A chance to learn a variety of different songs

Monthly challenges

Crafts to do with the performing arts (such as puppets)

Basic Music skills (using percussion and recorders)

Exploring different types of music

and much more!

So what will my child do in Buds?

What are the main aims of

the group? and how will my child benefit from club?

To build self-confidence through praise and encouragement.

To learn how to express emotions through role play and games.

To help children develop the skills they need to be part of a team.

To fuel the imagination through expressive dance activities.

To help children develop new friendships within the group.

Children will also be given the tools they need to speak out with confidence.

An Opportunity to build up their fine and gross motor skills,

as well as building up their strength, and improving their co-ordination.

They will also develop memory recall, through games and stories.

Other opportunities include Developing their creativity,

learning about Rhythm using percussion instruments,

and learning how to sing as part of a group, or in a round.

All children in The Box Tree Buds will be given the chance to perform on stage,

and will have the opportunity join in with the full range of activities and classes

in what I aim to make a Fun ,friendly and safe

environment for all.
